What is the LCB?

The LCB (Landelijk Congres der Bestuurskunde, National Congress of Public Administration) is the biggest Public Administration event in the Netherlands. Every year between two- and four hundred visitors, consisting of students and (young) professionals visit our congress. A central theme for that year is looked into from both a theoretical and practical approach and an attempt is made to connect the two. Also every year there are readings from renowned speakers, along with workshops and masterclasses. Furthermore students and partners get the opportunity to orientate themselves for a internship or work opportunities,

The precursor to the LCB was the LBD (Landelijke Bestuurskunde Dag, National Public Administration Day) and the LO (Landelijke Onderzoeksdag, National Research Day). Eventually it was decided to merge the two events into what is now the LCB, of which the first edition took place in 2001. This year the board members are all students from Leiden University in The Hague.
