With the theme ‘Power of the Media‘, on May 10, 2022, we looked together at the role of media in our society and the influence that the media has on our public administration. After all, politics and its civil servants are increasingly under a magnifying glass: the social issues they deal with are becoming increasingly complex, while tolerance is decreasing and criticism seems to be increasing. But how does the public administration deal with this new dynamic? Where are the opportunities and pitfalls? And in addition, how can the legitimacy and reliability of the news be guaranteed. The media is considered a watchdog, but who checks the watchdog if it is false?
